My Sportster came with a 35mm wide glide front end but I wasn’t too happy about the look. When I got a flat tire I decided to switch back to the narrow glide and shave the 35mm fork legs while I took everything apart anyway. I already had a 19 inch rim waiting to be installed. We made a special jig for the fork sliders to fix it in the lathe and to withstand the force of the chuck. The frond end looks much cleaner now.
